This new
VeggieTales video offers kids plenty of musical fun, and
will get a few chuckles from adults as well. The feature
story takes place in Snoodleburg, a Seuss-esque world where
Snoodles, who wear their hair cut into shapes like French
poodles, and who eat pancakes with noodles, are not born,
but are created.
Snoodle
Doo (pictured above) slides down the chute to find that he was created carrying
a Kazoo and a paintbrush, and that he also sports wings! He tries to fly,
fails, and endures some ridicule from other Snoodleburg
residents. His identity crisis takes him on a journey that
ends with the discovery that he was created with these
things for a reason, and how others see him doesn't matter.
He is special!
The
video/DVD also includes a Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde spoof
entitled Dr. Jiggle and Mr. Sly. Dr. Jiggle, who is a rather
portly vegetable, struggles with an intense desire to dance,
but he is afraid that his jiggling will only make others
laugh at him. Just who is Mr. Sly, a slick disco-dancing
bean who is drawing crowds?
Silly
Songs with Larry, a fan favorite, features the silly and
catchy music video, Sport Utility Vehicle.
The theme
of the video is a lesson in self-worth, and the stories
illustrate the lesson well.
Included
with this new release is a VeggieTales classic, Fibber-o-Loo.
The DVD
edition includes plenty of extras, such as a DVD-ROM game,
audio commentary, Veggie Karaoke, and more.
